Edwin Reed-Sanchez isn't just your ordinary tech nerd. As an extraordinary professor at CUNY, a brilliant mad scientist, and unstoppable entrepreneur. He’s determined to reshape the world by teaching coding, design, and spreading his passion for networking, AI, analogue circuits, and environmental sensors.

Edwin is a unique problem solver. He built a Fiber ISP to get internet to his house. He deployed a DIY cellphone network on a remote island. He is a creative who loves to think big, simplify complexity, and, most importantly, help others learn and grow.

What I Love Doing

Teaching

Simplifying complex concepts is what I do best. I teach courses in creative coding, physical computing, analog circuits, DIY network infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

Research

My eclectic research interest include, international networks, fiber optics, analogue circuits, education tech, AI and machine learning.

Fiber Networks

I built a Fiber ISP from the ground up in a remote city on Nicaragua's Carribean Coast.

Wireless Networks

Long distance Wifi networks, Forest networks, Sensor networks. I developed and deployed many real world networks.

Cybersecurity

I have taught and deployed real world cybersecurity tools since 2018.

AI

AI has significantly enhanced my workflow in generative art, video production, animal classification, and cybersecurity.
