Drawing from the author’s personal journey of constructing a fiber-to-the-home network on Nicaragua’s Caribbean coast, the article aims to shed light on the MicroISP business in rural regions. It weaves together the author’s entrepreneurial experience with a thorough examination of international network topologies affecting internet quality in remote areas.
